Social Service Department - Food Pantry Assistant
Be a part of serving the community in our food pantry. Help our guests by insuring accurate quantities are collected.
The food pantry assistant will work closely with the Social Service Worker or other volunteers. The volunteer will greet shoppers and explain how the food pantry operates.
Duties include, but are not limited to, qualifying shoppers, assist in collecting food, bagging groceries and stocking shelves.
Volunteers are needed every Monday from 11:00 to 3:00.
- 18 years or older
- Must be able to comfortably lift cases of food
- Reliable, professional and friendly
- Pass initial screening process
Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army Facilities or volunteer sites
Pants and shirts must cover the waistband. Shirts with print are not to be offensive. Shoes are to be closed toe. We don’t want any injuries done to the toes. Flip flops, shorts, tank tops, undershirts, or halter tops, sleeveless shirts, crop tops, spaghetti straps and strapless tops are not permitted. Transparent, tight or form fitting clothes are not permitted. Skirts/dresses must not be worn more than two inches above the knee.
Parking is available on site in our private lot located at Richards and Third where our main entrance can be found.
