At Surrey Fire and Rescue Service we are fortunate to have the support and commitment of volunteers.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service serves diverse and ever-changing communities, with a wide range of risks such as residential, commercial and industrial premises, and large areas of common and heathland.
We work hard to serve our communities, with a focused drive on prevention and safety messaging. Our volunteers take on a wide range of important roles within SFRS to help stations and departments engage effectively with our residents.
Our volunteers currently help to deliver a wide range of services including, but not limited to:
- Community safety talks
- Safe and Well Visits
- Supporting service open days
- Attending local events
- Assisting at Fire Service training exercises
- Working in partnership with The Fire Fighters Charity
- Assisting at multi-agency exercises
Fire Volunteers come from all backgrounds and walks of life, and offer their skills, time and knowledge to deliver a variety of important roles. Their dedication helps to provide invaluable support to our communities and colleagues within Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.
