Restoration - Mill Hill Regional Park - East Meadow
The restoration of the Garry oak ecosystems in Mill Hill Regional Park have been ongoing since 2002. The primary goals of the restoration project are to restore and sustain the ecological integrity of the park's ecosystem and halt the loss and restore populations of rare and endangered plant species.
The primary activity of the restoration volunteers is to assist with the removal of invasive, non-native plant species.
Tools, equipment, light snacks, refreshments and extra water are provided. Please remember to dress for the weather, wear sturdy footwear and bring a water bottle.
It is important to meet at the designated times as often the sites we are working at are quite a ways off the main trails and you would not be able to find us on your own.
