The Salvation Army Needs Your Help!

Volunteers are needed to help pack food boxes for our upcoming Summer Food Box Distribution Events. Join us on Friday, June 16th from 9 am - 12 pm at our Salvation Army location in Pekin, IL for this volunteer activity. 

• This is a great opportunity for groups - encourage your friends, family, co-workers, classmates, etc. to sign up for this activity with you!
• You will make a real difference - The food boxes you will be packing will be distributed to families in need at The Salvation Army's Summer Food Box Distribution Events in Peoria.
• Volunteers should be able to lift 25 lbs. The activity will require bending and lifting. 
• Activity specifics: Volunteers will help fill up the food boxes with non-perishable items, secure the boxes and then load the packed boxes for transport. Volunteers will also assist with breaking down empty boxes of product. 

Please note: This volunteer activity takes place at our Pekin, IL location but these food boxes will be distributed at a later date in June to families in need in 2 different food desert areas in our Peoria community.

After you sign up for this volunteer activity, the Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you to confirm that you are added to the volunteer list. You are not guaranteed to be added to the volunteer list until you have received confirmation from the Volunteer Coordinator.
