Help to create a new garden space at the Shipley art gallery!

We're looking for volunteers to help with landscaping and gardening.

Tasks include:

• Moving Soil
• Building Vertical planters
• Planting
• maintaining site
• Once the garden is running, helping staff working with community group sessions in the garden.

Skills needed

Ability to do some heavy lifting and physical activity

Knowledge of gardening would be desirable but not essential

Good to know

This role will be outside.

The gardening space is accessible

equipment and protective equipment (such as gloves) will be provided

Please wear appropriate clothing for the role, to allow for dirt and weather. 

Level of English Language Required

to do this role you must be able to:

Understand times and dates
Follow simple instructions
Give one or two word answers
Have short simple conversations

read short sentences and simple instructions

Dates and times: to be organised directly with staff depending on staff availability.
