Great North Museum: Hancock - Time Odyssey Support (schools)
Time Odyssey is a fun, interactive learning experience that takes pupils on a quest through their local museum – physically and virtually.
We are looking for volunteers to support our Assistant Learning Officer in the set up, pack up and running of the event. You will support with checking on schools, solving any tech issues, and speaking to the groups to ensure they are enjoying their visit and experience.

Skills:
Feel confident with tech (this event uses tablets).
Confident speaking to teachers and school children (sometimes they will chat and ask questions)
Good time keeping
Able to use initiative and work well with others (you will support our member of staff)
Good to know
These events can be noisy - we can be supporting upto 60 children at a time. A lot of this will take place around the museum too, where it can get quite loud.
The venue is accessible. You may be asked if you can push a small trolley at times, but we can work around this if you are unable.
Level of English Language Required:
for this role you need to be able to:
Have short simple conversations
Understand detailed instructions with 2 or 3 parts
The volunteer will be speaking to the public and having conversations.
They will help support with any tech issues or questions about the experience.

Please note the session on 29th October will be families due to the half term break.
