This role is suitable for those age 16+

Supporting Family Crafting at the Shipley Art Gallery.

This is for children aged 3+ accompanied by adults and is generally a calm creative event.

Families will be making crafts. The volunteer role involves supporting the facilitator to deliver the activity, set up and pack away, engage families, and circulate offering encouragement and support.

You don't need to be especially 'arty'! You need to enjoy working with families / children.

Skills:

Welcoming and personable. Able to talk to families and engage children

Good to know:

Accessible - step free entrance, level access throughout, accessible loos, seating available.
Not generally a particularly noisy event, max 40 people per session and children seated at tables accompanied by adults.

English Language Requirements:

To do this role you need to be able to-

Understand times and dates
Follow simple instructions
Have short simple conversations
Understand detailed instructions with 2 or 3 part

Fri 20 Feb (Feb half term - Ncl schools) morning session only, so volunteer shift 09.45 - 12.15

all other dates 9:45am- 3pm
