Great North Museum: Hancock - Time Odyssey: Family Adventure! volunteer
This role is suitable for those aged 16+
About the Role:
Time Odyssey: Family Adventure! We are looking for volunteers to support families as they go on a quest around the museum in a slightly different way, using a tablet!!
Tasks
The volunteer will support our facilitator, and the role may include:
- supporting the facilitator to set up tablets and reset them at the end of the day.
- speaking to families and welcoming them to their briefing.
- tracking attendee details with the facilitator
- checking on families as they explore the museum with their family challenge.
- supporting families with any tech problems.
Full training of the app and process will be given on your first date.
Skills needed
- speaking to the public
- being comfortable with using a tablet is useful.
- able to manage time
Good to know:
This event takes place during school holidays and so the building may be quite noisy. We can provide ear defenders and other resources for volunteers should they feel them useful.
Level of English Language required:
Follow simple instructions
Have short simple conversations
Read short sentences and simple instructions
Date : 7th and 14th April: 9.30am - 2pm
Qualifications Required
- Read Volunteer policy and volunteer agreement Must be yes
- General induction Must be attended
