St. Paul's Hospital


Thank you for your interest in volunteering at St. Paul's Hospital.

 

- Minimum age requirement to volunteer at St. Paul's hospital is 18 years of age or older.

- Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 consecutive months, one shift a week, for 2-3 hours.  

- Most programs operate during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, with limited evening and weekend program opportunities available. 

- Application selection is based on availability, length of commitment, experience, and suitability. 

 

 

St. Paul's Hospital is home to many world-class medical and surgical programs, including cardiac services and kidney care. St. Paul's serves both the local community and patients from across British Columbia.

In applying to be a volunteer at St. Paul's Hospital, you confirm that:

  • you can commit to one 2-3 hours shift a week
  • you can commit to a minimum of 6 consecutive months or 12 consecutive months depending on the program
  • you consent to a criminal record check (Providence Health Care will provide the web link required)
  • you understand that volunteers are required to get an annual flu shot or wear a mask during flu season (December to April)
  • you are vaccinated against COVID-19 (minimum of two doses)
  • you consent to your references being contacted
  • the information contained in your application is true to the best of your knowledge.
  • you understand that completing this application process does not guarantee you acceptance as a volunteer
