  2. Check your email
    If selected, we’ll send you an email

  3. Let us know you’re interested
    Reply within 48 hours
  4. Confirm your spot
    Complete the Confirmation Form within 7 days
    ✅ Your place is confirmed once the form is submitted

⚠️ If the form isn’t returned, your spot may be offered to another volunteer
🔒 Spots are limited and will close when full

📌 EOIs are reviewed as they are received. You will be contacted to confirm if you have a place or are on the Backup List.


👥 On the Day
• Short, friendly briefing before young people arrive
• Meet the team and go through the plan together
• Ongoing support from AKKF staff throughout the day
• Structured schedule including activities, breaks, and lunch


🧩 What We Will Do
• Explore science and technology exhibits
• Discover local history displays
• Engage in interactive learning and problem-solving activities
• Participate in group discussions and reflection

Activities may vary depending on group needs and museum flow.

This helps young people build curiosity, confidence, and positive social connections.


🤝 Your Role
• Welcome and support young people
• Help them feel safe, included, and comfortable
• Encourage participation (no pressure)
• Help guide group movement through the museum
• Support transitions between activities and lunch
• Provide reassurance and positive role modelling
• Always supervise with another adult


🛡️ Safety
• Your WWCC must be valid and verified
• All onboarding must be complete before attending

You may notice:
• Busy public spaces and shared facilities
• Group movement between exhibition areas
• Young people with varying confidence in group settings

AKKF provides:
• Supportive staff at all times
• First Aid-trained team members
• Two-adult supervision
• Pre-event volunteer briefing

🔒 Full program details are shared with confirmed volunteers only in line with safeguarding practices.
