We’d love you to join us for a fun and engaging activity supporting Defence young people as they work together to solve puzzles, build teamwork skills, and grow confidence through a shared challenge.

Complete the Confirmation Form within 7 days
✅ Your place is confirmed once the form is submitted
⚠️ If the form isn’t returned, your spot may be offered to another volunteer
🔒 Spots are limited and will close when full
📌 EOIs are reviewed as they are received. You will be contacted to confirm if you have a place or are on the Backup List.
👥 On the Day
• Short, friendly briefing before young people arrive
• Meet the team and go through the plan together
• Ongoing support from AKKF staff throughout the session
🧩 What We Will Do
• Escape room challenges and puzzles
• Team-based problem-solving activities
• Group connection and collaboration
• Wellbeing and reflection conversations
This helps young people build confidence, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.
🤝 Your Role
• Welcome and support young people
• Help them feel safe, included, and comfortable
• Encourage teamwork and participation
• Support communication and problem-solving
• Assist with transitions between rooms and break areas
• Support Chat Groups and wellbeing activities
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive environment
• Always supervise with another adult
🛡️ Safety
• Your WWCC must be valid and verified
• All onboarding must be complete before attending
You may notice:
• Low-light environments
• Confined and themed spaces
• Sound effects and immersive settings
• Young people with varying comfort levels
AKKF provides:
• Supportive staff at all times
• First Aid-trained team members
• Two-adult supervision
• Pre-event volunteer briefing
