🛟 CONNECT Backup Volunteer Pool
Be ready to jump in and support when needed!
This activity is for volunteers who are happy to be part of the CONNECT backup pool. Backup volunteers may be contacted if a session needs additional support or if a host or co-host becomes unavailable.
CONNECT sessions help young people stay safe, connected and supported between camps and activity days through structured online activities.
Being part of the backup pool means you may be asked to support sessions such as:
• 🎮 CONNECT Games
• 🎈 CONNECT Play
• 🔥 CONNECT+
• 🎯 CONNECT Teens
• 🌙 The Riot
Volunteers may be contacted on short notice or ahead of time if support is needed.
🤝 What Backup Volunteers May Help With
If called upon, volunteers may assist with:
• Monitoring chat and participant behaviour
• Managing the waiting room
• Supporting basic tech issues
• Assisting with facilitation and engagement
• Observing participant wellbeing
• Taking attendance screenshots if required
🛡 Safeguarding
All CONNECT sessions follow AKKF safeguarding procedures.
Volunteers must:
• Follow the Rule of 3
• Keep cameras on when facilitating
• Maintain a professional environment
• Escalate any concerns immediately

Qualifications Required
- Compliance - Working With Children Check Must be Validated
- Compliance - National Police Check Must be Current
