We’d love you to join us for a relaxed movie day supporting Defence young people to connect, feel comfortable, and enjoy time together.

📝 How to Join

Submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) in MyImpact
2. Check your email
If selected, we’ll send you an email

3. Let us know you’re interested
Reply within 48 hours
4. Confirm your spot
Complete the Confirmation Form within 7 days
✅ Your place is confirmed once the form is submitted
⚠️ If the form isn’t returned, your spot may be offered to another volunteer
🔒 Spots are limited and will close when full
👥 On the Day
• Short, friendly briefing before young people arrive
• Meet the team and go through the plan together
• Ongoing support from AKKF staff throughout the day
🧩 What We Will Do
• Watch the movie together
• Spend time chatting and connecting
• Share snacks and enjoy social time
This helps young people feel connected, confident, and supported.
🤝 Your Role
• Welcome and support young people
• Help them feel safe, included, and comfortable
• Encourage participation (no pressure)
• Support breaks and transitions
• Join simple conversations
• Always supervise with another adult
🛡️ Safety
• Your WWCC must be valid and verified
• All onboarding must be complete before attending
You may notice:
• Crowds and busy public spaces
• Low lighting in the cinema
• Noise during the movie
AKKF provides:
• Supportive staff at all times
• First Aid-trained team members
• Two-adult supervision

If you accept a spot, we’ll be counting on you to attend.
If something changes, please let us know as soon as possible.
This helps us find another volunteer and keep the program safe for everyone.
