Burlington Food Bank

Special Events are any events that happen outside of the Food Bank. These can include festivals, corporate events, food drives, and more. These events normally take place on the weekends and are a great way to get involved.

We are actively looking for volunteers to help out at Special Events. 

Typical tasks include:

• Collecting food and monetary donations
• Helping to sort food donations
• Answering questions about the Food Bank
• Representing the Food Bank in a positive manner

FAQ About Special Events

Q. I have never been to the Food Bank - can I still help out? 

A. Yes! While we do recommend that everyone who volunteers for the Burlington Food Bank attend one of orientation sessions, it is not mandatory for this role. 

Q. Can I bring my children to help? I would like them to learn more about giving back to the community. 

A. We love having families volunteer together! For most special events, everyone is welcomed to help (children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult). Some events may have age restrictions due to the nature of the event or the tasks involved.
