Gardening/Horticulture Education Youth Programs - "Branching Out!" Summer Camp - Weeks of AM shifts only
**Attention**
Due to NJ State regulations on how summer camps are staffed/operated when working with minors, the MCPC will be adapting its policies on how Volunteers can assist with our summer camp programs at all sites. Volunteers will need to attend a mandatory training and submit to a background check (volunteers agree to this when acknowledging the Applicant Statement during the application process). Volunteers may request to assist with camps at this time, but will not be approved until training and background checks have been completed. Camp Volunteer Training to be posted at a later date.

Please read through the Frelinghuysen Camp Volunteer Documents located in the Document Library before signing up for this program.
(Description for this camp is listed below)
Frelinghuysen Arboretum's education staff is looking for a volunteer to help us with our "Branching Out!" youth camp. The volunteer assigned to the camp will be needed to help set up, tear down, and clean up each day, and assist campers and staff throughout the daily activities.
This program is available to attendees up to age 12. Volunteering opportunities are available to those aged 14 and up.
Hours of this camp will be from 9 am to 3 pm from Monday through Friday. Volunteers are asked to be available 15 minutes early each day to help set up and tear down. Each week on the schedule will be run as a new camp.
Branching Out is a hands-on gardening program for youth who are encouraged to play in the dirt! This program is both fun and educational as it lets each participant garden in their own plot where all tools, seeds, plants, and instructions are included. Volunteers should come prepared for outdoor work with proper attire (closed-toe shoes, gloves, sunscreen, etc.) and plenty of water.
