Community Voices Volunteer
Help raise awareness of facial palsy, champion lived experience and ensure more people feel seen, heard and understood.
About Facial Palsy UK and this role
Facial Palsy UK is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by all causes of facial palsy through information, support and research.
Awareness starts with people. By sharing experiences, challenging misconceptions and helping others understand the realities of living with facial palsy, we can create a more informed and supportive society.
As a Community Voices Volunteer, you'll help ensure the voices of people affected by facial palsy are heard. You might share your own experiences, support Storyteller Volunteers, represent Facial Palsy UK at events or help identify opportunities to raise awareness within your local community. Community Voices Volunteers may also choose to get involved in Facial Palsy UK's Face Up, Speak Out! programme, helping to deliver awareness talks and presentations that improve understanding of facial palsy.
This role contributes directly to Facial Palsy UK's Inform objective by raising awareness and improving understanding of facial palsy. It also contributes to our Support objective by helping people affected by facial palsy feel represented, connected and less alone.
