Auxiliary - Wetaskiwin Healthcare Auxiliary
The Wetaskiwin Hospital Auxiliary is an independent community organization which focuses on services and equipment purchases to contribute to the comfort and care of our patients and residents. The Auxiliary operates the gift shop in the hospital and has been involved in such things as special fund-raising events including bake sales and quilt raffles; donating money for Christmas gift purchases for Long Term Care Residents; knitting and crocheting baby hats for the maternity ward; special meal tray favours for residents and patients for special days such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; quilting and quilt raffles; and New Year’s Baby gifts. Serving with the Auxiliary is an opportunity to be a member of a close-knit group while providing volunteer service. A volunteer would need to become a member of the Auxiliary before they could volunteer in the hospital in these ways.
Flexible and depending on the role; monthly meetings.
