LOS ANGELES VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

PATH is working to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors by working on the front lines through street outreach, case management, and food support. PATH volunteer programs and volunteer projects provide critical support to those most at risk and enables PATH to continuously provide services.

ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

WELCOME HOME KITS: Every week, PATH moves dozens of Angelenos off the streets and into homes. You can help these new residents feel safe and comfortable in their new home by providing a "Welcome Home Kit" filled with basic home goods, kitchen items, and cleaning supplies. Welcome Home Kits are critical to help our neighbors start their journey of having a new place to call home! Please check out our Welcome Home Wishlist to help support!

Urgent Needs:

• Bedding
• Home goods (laundry hamper, bathmat, shower caddy)
• Kitchen items (pots & pans, dishes, utensils)
• Hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste)
• Cleaning supplies
• Target gift cards

*For health and safety reasons, all Welcome Home items must be new & unopened*

CARE KITS FOR OUTREACH As you shop for personal hygiene items, pick up a few extra supplies to help individuals currently experiencing homelessness or purchase them here Outreach Kits! Have them shipped directly to PATH or schedule a time to drop-off to us HERE
 
Urgent Needs:

• Shampoo & conditioner
• Soap or body wash
• Razor & shaving cream (kits)
• Cleansing wipes
• Cold weather clothing (hats, scarves, gloves) *
• Blankets*
• Non-perishable snacks & bottled water 

*For health and safety reasons, all Care Kit items must be new, unopened and not expired. 

PATH COOKS: Help provide meals to our residents in interim housing. When you sign-up to provide a meal or assist with meal prep (as an individual), it helps PATH focus its resources on providing housing and support services for our residents. Our male veterans in West LA love to have home-cooked meals from volunteers!  Shifts are currently available at our West LA site. We understand not everyone is comfortable with on-site volunteering. If you want to support our male veterans, ask us about sponsoring a meal through a meal delivery service or catering! Please reach out to PATHvolunteers@epath.org if you're interested in getting involved!

• Breakfast (Sat. & Sun.) 6:00 am - 8 am
• Lunch (7 days/week) 10:30 am - 1 pm
• Dinner (7 days/week) 4:30 pm - 7 pm
• Max group size is 6 people
  

DONATION SORTING: Lend a hand to PATH Community Affairs staff by signing up for a donation sorting shift at PATH Metro Villas! By volunteering in this way, you can be a part of PATH's essential donation program that receives donated items from all around LA County. This volunteer experience involves receiving, sorting, organizing, and distributing donated items. These donations may be hygiene items, home goods, food, clothing, and more. We accept it all and do our best to make sure each donated item goes to an individual or family affected by homelessness in our community. You can sign-up for this opportunity through your Better Impact account. The following are available shift times: 

• Tuesdays 10am-12pm 
• Thursdays 10am-12pm & 12:30pm-2:30pm
