During this session, you'll have the opportunity to learn more about the exciting volunteer roles available and meet National Trust staff and volunteers who help bring Victoria's fashion heritage to life.

Imagine Volunteering in a Fashion Lover's Paradise

Picture yourself surrounded by exquisite vintage garments, beautiful accessories, and timeless style. As a Fashion Retail Volunteer, you'll help prepare and present unique pieces for exhibitions, retail events, and our iconic Vintage Clothing Sale, contributing to a year-round calendar of fashion-focused activities.

Whether you're welcoming visitors to a fashion pop-up, styling displays for exhibitions, or sorting vintage treasures ready for sale, you'll play an important role in preserving and celebrating Victoria's rich sartorial history.

Volunteer Opportunities May Include

• Assisting with the setup and presentation of fashion exhibitions and retail events
• Supporting front-of-house operations and engaging with visitors
• Preparing vintage and historical garments for display or sale
• Participating in donation sorting and styling sessions
• Assisting at key events held at venues including Rippon Lea Estate, Tasma Terrace, and Abbotsford Convent
• Working alongside a passionate team of volunteers and National Trust staff
• Helping preserve and promote Victoria's fashion heritage

Skills and Interests We're Looking For

• An interest in vintage fashion, textiles, and collectibles
• Retail or customer service experience (desirable but not essential)
• A flair for styling, curation, or visual merchandising
• A positive and collaborative attitude
• An interest in sustainability, heritage, and community fundraising
