BC - Climate Risks - Field Researcher – Climate Risks – Summer/Fall 2019

Survey residents of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES), and seniors across Vancouver to help understand the key challenges they face with respect to climate change. Questions will explore the impacts of things like extreme heat and poor air quality from wildfire smoke, along with participants’ experiences, concerns and priorities.

Field researchers will conduct facilitated surveys with residents at key community places and events, helping them to share their important perspectives on these issues. They will also support the tracking and analysis of event statistics, writing up key learnings, and providing general support for community engagement activities. This research will be critical to identifying important areas for action to address climate change impacts for vulnerable populations.

You’ll be helping us learn what it takes to make flourishing cities for everyone.
