Education Program Volunteering
Education is at the heart of our mission at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. Our Education Team provides significant programming all year long. They also manage the Explorer's Outpost and Junior Vet Clinic children's areas at the Zoo. By becoming an education program volunteer, you will assist the Zoo and our Ed Team in achieving its mission of connecting our guests with the natural world through unparalleled conservation education. Come and share your passion for conservation with the next generation as an Education Program volunteer!
To become an Approved Education Volunteer, volunteers must:
- complete volunteer orientation
- complete a minimum of 20 hours of general / event volunteer service
- have a signed standard waiver form on file
- complete and pass a background check (18 and older)
- complete any other specified training as required by education (per activity)
