Education - Wild Beginnings (PreK) Helper

Wild Beginnings! is a three-week program tailored just for the little ones, ages 12 to 36 months. Each themed class includes animal biofacts, nature-themed sensory play, songs and a story.  Young ones will explore with their senses as well as develop language and motor skills in the process during this early learning adventure. This program is for one child/one caregiver pair. 

 

Volunteers will help the education staff with: 

  • Assisting with general daily tasks (participant check in/out, cleaning and organizing) 
  • Assisting with biofacts, motor skill activities, etc 
  • General chaperoning / monitoring throughout the class 

This is a public facing position and all volunteers must be approved education program volunteers.  This activity will require modest physical activity,  Volunteers should wear their RED Volunteer shirt and name tag.   

To Become an Education Approved Volunteer, volunteers must: 

  • complete volunteer orientation
  • complete a minimum of 20 hours of general / event volunteer service 
  • have a signed standard waiver form on file
  • complete and pass a background check 
  • complete any other specified training as required by education (per activity)
