Education - Zoo to You helper
FOR EDUCATION APPROVED VOLUNTEERS ONLY
Assist with Zoo to You programming, by:
- Attend programming off site and ensure activity safety during classes.
- Assist with biofacts, stations, headcounts, collecting anecdotes, and activity facilitation during the program.
This is a public facing position and all volunteers must be approved education program volunteers Must be 18 and older. No additional training required for this position. Position requires use of stairs, carrying heavy objects, and long periods of standing. Requires riding in car.
Please check in with Chryssa, Noelle, and / or Mary from Education. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your shift. Please wear your volunteer shirt, if you have one, otherwise, khakis or jeans and a plain shirt. PLEASE BRING A PHOTO ID.
To Become an Education Approved Volunteer, volunteers must:
- complete volunteer orientation
- complete a minimum of 20 hours of general / event volunteer service
- have a signed standard waiver form on file
- complete and pass a background check
- complete any other specified training as required by education (per activity)
