Shelter Crew (Position for anyone 13 years and older.)

As you can imagine, much goes on to keep our facility up and running! We could not do it without the help of our volunteers. 

SHELTER CREW

This volunteer position is for anyone 13 years and older. Volunteers aged 13-15 years old must volunteer with an adult. Volunteers who are 16 years and older can volunteer on their own.

Shelter Crew Volunteers will provide support to our Operations and Animal Care Teams doing various tasks around the shelter.  

  

Duties  

  • Process dirty laundry  
  • Fold clean laundry   
  • Cut hot dogs. 
  • Sort donations  
  • Clean windows 
  • Dusting 

  

Skills Needed  

  • The physical demands for this job include standing, walking and/or bending for an extended period of time.  
  • Volunteers must be detail oriented.  

 

Required Training  

  • Meet & Greet with Volunteer Coordinator 
  • Volunteer Handbook & Waivers – Online Training 
  • People Centered Philosophy – Online Training 
  • In Person Training with Volunteer Coordinator or a veteran Shelter Crew Volunteer

 

Shelter Crew Volunteer Open Shifts:  

 

    • Monday: 8am-10am; 10am-12pm; 3pm-5pm
    • Tuesday: 8am-10am; 3pm-5pm
    • Wednesday: 10am-12pm; 3pm-5pm
    • Thursday: 10am-12pm
    • Friday: 8am-10am; 3pm-5pm
    • Saturday: 10am-12pm; 3pm-5pm
