Animal Care Volunteer - Cat
ANIMAL CARE VOLUNTEER
Position for anyone 13 years and older. 13-15 years old needs to volunteer with an adult. 16 years and older can volunteer on their own.
These volunteers help with the day-to-day care of our shelter guests which includes cleaning, handling animals, and washing dishes. Volunteers 13 years – 17 years help with spot cleaning in adoption area. Physical position. Deep cleaning shifts are 9:00-11:00 a.m. with a mix of deep and spot cleaning shifts starting after 1:00 p.m.
Required Training
- Meet & Greet with Volunteer Coordinator
- Kenosha Volunteer Handbook & Waivers – Online Training
- People Centered Philosophy – Online Training
- Cat Handling Videos & Quiz – Online Training
- In Person Cat Handling
- 2 One on One Training with AC/ACT or a veteran Cat ACV Volunteer

- Wednesday: 1pm-3pm
- Friday: 8:30am-10:30am
- Saturday: 4pm-6pm
- Sunday: 3pm-5pm
