ANIMAL CARE VOLUNTEER  

Position for anyone 13 years and older.  13-15 years old needs to volunteer with an adult.  16 years and older can volunteer on their own.   

These volunteers help with the day-to-day care of our shelter guests which includes cleaning, handling animals, and washing dishes.  Volunteers 13 years – 17 years help with spot cleaning in adoption area.  Physical position.  Deep cleaning shifts are 9:00-11:00 a.m. with a mix of deep and spot cleaning shifts starting after 1:00 p.m.   

Required Training

• Meet & Greet with Volunteer Coordinator
• Kenosha Volunteer Handbook & Waivers – Online Training
• People Centered Philosophy – Online Training
• Cat Handling Videos & Quiz – Online Training
• In Person Cat Handling
• 2 One on One Training with AC/ACT or a veteran Cat ACV Volunteer

  • Sunday: 3pm-5pm

          Lodging

• Monday: 4pm-6pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am-10:30am; 1pm-3pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am-10:30am; 1pm-3pm; 4pm-6pm
• Friday: 8:30am-10:30am; 1pm-3pm;  4pm-6pm
• Saturday: 1pm-3pm; 4pm-6pm
• Sunday: 3pm-5pm
