Community Event Volunteer (Position for anyone 13 years and older)

Looking for a way to volunteer at WHS but can’t commit to a weekly shift? Then a Community Event Volunteer could be a great fit!

We’re looking for volunteers to attend community events as representatives of WHS. These events are coordinated by an individual or business in the community to raise money or awareness for a WHS shelter. These may be events like a store giveback day, farmer’s markets, company engagement event, or a community craft fair. Although they vary in type, size, and fundraising level, each one involves people and businesses coming up with creative ways to support animals in need.

A Community Event Volunteer’s tasks at such events may include, but aren’t limited to, collecting donations, talking to the public about WHS and what we offer, discussing upcoming WHS major events, etc. Community Event Volunteers must be 18 years or older to volunteer on their own or at least 13 years old to volunteer with a parent or guardian.
