Foster Assistant (16+ years)

 

This position helps with the day-to-day placement of foster animals.  This position works in the shelter managing our available foster page, confirming foster placements, gathering supplies, and getting animals ready to leave the building.    This position also works on the front lines supporting foster parents who are picking up fosters and bringing them in for rechecks/surgery.  Volunteers NEED to be detail-oriented and computer savvy. Must be 16 years or older. This is an onsite/in-shelter position that is in extremely high need!

 

Training:

  • Volunteer Handbook & Waivers – Online Training
  • People-Centered Philosophy Video– Online Training
  • Dog, Cat, and Small Animal Handling Training – Online Training
  • Dog and Cat Hands on Training - With Staff
  • One on One Training with Staff

 

Commitment/Age Requirement

A minimum of a 6 month commitment is required.

Must be 16 years old or older.

 

Open Shifts: 

  • Mondays: 8am-11am, 11-2pm, 2-5pm
  • Tuesdays: 8am-11am
  • Wednesdays: 2-5pm
  • Thursday: 8am-11am, 11-2pm, 2-5pm
  • Fridays: 8am-11am, 2-5pm
