Assist with transporting animals from our main shelter to our off-site adoption center located in the PetSmart on Pilgrim Way. 

 

Duties 

• Load and unload animals and supplies
• Navigating all weather conditions

 

Skills Needed 

• The physical demands of this job include the following: standing, walking, bending, and lifting animal carriers. 
• Must have reliable communication with staff.

 

Required Training 

• Meet & Greet with the Volunteer Coordinator
• Volunteer Handbook & Waivers – Online Training
• People-Centered Philosophy Video– Online Training
• Dog, Cat, and Small Animal Handling Videos and quizzes – Online Training
• In-person Dog and Cat handling Training - With Staff
• One on one position training with staff

 

Commitment/Requirements

A minimum of a 6-month commitment is required.

Must be 18 years or older.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must have proof of driver’s insurance.

 

Open Shifts:

• Wednesdays: 10-11am
• Fridays: 10-11am      
• Saturdays: 10-11am
