Angel of Hope Animal Rescue

Animal Caretakers at the shelter and our partner pet stores are responsible for general cleanliness and care of the animals. This includes:

• Refilling food and water.
• General cage cleaning.
• Reporting on general animal welfare.
• Coordinating with on-site staff on additional requests.
• Cleaning re-usable supplies (Food & Water bowls / Litter boxes).

Duties of volunteers assisting with transport include:

• Loading cages with cats bound for stores within the Twin Cities area.
• Transporting the animals to their destination stores.
• Unloading designated animals at a given store.
• Initial animal setup (ensure food, water, bedding, and litter is available inside their cage.).

Special events volunteers may be asked for a wide range of tasks. Examples are (but not limited to):

• Going to event locations around the Twin Cities area.
• Set up of any event materials (tents, booths, signage).
• Supervising event activities.
• Answering general public questions about Angel of Hope Animal Rescue.
• Post-event cleanup (as needed).

Shelter logistic volunteers are responsible for the following duties:

• Moving and storage of incoming supplies.
• Cleanup of cardboard boxes and packing materials from incoming shipments.
• Trash removal.
• General shelter tidiness.

Administrative Assistants involve the following duties:

• Data entry that can include:
  • Supply logging.
  • Animal histories and records.
  • Animal adoption paperwork.
• Organizing and filing paperwork.
