Reception/ Administrative Volunteer

Administrative/ reception volunteers are often the first contact made with our residents and their families and visitors. A strong interest and passion for connecting with the community is essential. Volunteers will have active listening and communication skills.  Will have the ability to support others in distress by ensuring confidentiality with a non-judgmental, empathetic response.  Commitment to scheduled times as well as communicating with staff is important.  Primary responsibilities include:

  • Greeting  visitors and residents in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering the telephone, transferring calls to the appropriate person, and directing callers and visitors to the appropriate area of the building
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as copying, mail, and paper delivery to residents.
