Greetings Volunteers:

The Salvation Army’s mission has always been to meet human need in Jesus’ name and to preach the Gospel.  With the spread of the Covid-19, that mission remains the same.

The Salvation Army Eagle Creek will continue to provide for those in need, while taking precautions to keep our community safe.

As of Tuesday, March 17, 2020, our community center will take the following responsive actions:

  • All programs, both youth and adult, will be paused until further notice.
    • Our Food Pantry will continue on Fridays from 9:00a - 12:00p (one visit per month) but will be drive-through or walk-up only. You will not need to enter the building. You will pull up to the front of the building and we will obtain your punch card and ID (and proof of address for first-time visitors), then direct you to go around to the gym entrance and your food items will be brought out to you. New punch cards will not be created while you wait, but can be picked up on your next visit.
    • Our Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP - monthly Senior Food Box Distribution) will continue on the 4th Wednesday from 1:00p - 4:00p, but will be drive-through only. Instructions will be provided when we make our reminder calls on Tuesday before distribution.
  • Our office hours will be reduced to limit traffic in the building.  Our building will be open Monday -Thursday, 11:00a – 2:00p. We will be available by appointment only outside of those times.
  • Our maintenance staff will continue the increased cleaning procedures.
  • Our Sunday activities (Small Groups and Worship) will be paused.  We are working to provide web-based worship services for families to worship in their homes.
  • To assist with students not having school, our Community Center will provide student activity bags Monday - Thursday during our new temporary office hours (11:00a – 2:00p).

Isolation and social distancing can be challenging for many.  If you need prayer or someone to talk during this time, please contact our office.  We would love to be present with you as best we can.

Please stay tuned to our social media and website for additional announcements regarding The Salvation Army Eagle Creek.
