Community Connections Host/Workshop Support

Role: Community Connections Host/Workshop Support

Purpose: Assisting the Community Connections program through group activities on the North Shore for new immigrants to learn about local resources and events, while making new friends, connecting with long-term residents and practicing English skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrive on time; receive orientation of event schedule and activities
  • Provide support to facilitator and guest speaker(s), as required
  • Assist with set up, take down and clean up of event space

(Includes moving and lifting tables/chairs)

  • Welcome, greet and check-in participants at the registration table
  • Prepare, distribute, and collect handouts and evaluation forms; check for completion
  • Other responsibilities as required
