Donut Day Coordinator

Activity Summary:

Be an instrumental part of Donut Day! “Donut Day” is named in remembrance of WWI, when The Salvation Army distributed hearty donuts and coffee to exhausted soldiers in the trenches of the battlefield.

The Donut Day Coordinator ensures adequate volunteer resources to raise funds supporting many social service programs with Lincoln 360 Life Center,  and coordinate delivery of donuts to first responders and VFWs in Logan and Mason County. 

          Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Brainstorm creative ways to recruit and manage volunteers for the fundraiser
  • Coordinate day-of volunteers to ensure sufficient coverage

The schedule is flexible. We are looking for someone to commit a minimum of 16 hours in the month of May, and 4-6 hours on the First Thursday June - Donut Day.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • Experience and comfort in leading and encouraging a team
  • Ability to think creatively
  • High energy, poised demeanor, and friendly disposition
  • Enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Reliable, organized, and hard working
  • Pass initial screening process, including a background check

Policies:

Alcohol, drugs, and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army facilities or volunteer sites.

Pants/shorts and a shirt with sleeves must cover the waist and fit comfortably. Transparent and tight-fitting clothes are not permitted. For your safety, closed toe shoes are required.

For your safety and the safety of others, you need to bring and wear a personal face covering over your nose and mouth while volunteering. You will also complete a brief health screening prior to volunteering.

Off-street parking is available.
