Literacy and Learning - Refugee Youth Mentorship Volunteer

The Refugee Youth Mentoring Program connects young adults (ages 14-24) with adult mentors in the community. The program also provides regular workshops and activities for the young people to explore Fresno and their new American lives. Mentors are expected to contribute at least 6 hours per month to their mentee, which includes 4 hours of relationship building, 1.5 hours of surveys/trainings and 30 minutes of monthly reporting. Mentors might take their mentee to a coffee shop, attend a concert or public event, hang out at the public library, practice English conversation, or help navigate high school.

Volunteers will need to complete a background check. If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out an application or call (559) 487-1500.
