Donations Sorting and Shopping - Monthly Donation Shopping Day Volunteers

FIRM is looking for volunteers to help with our monthly Donation Shopping Days. We host these events every 2nd Tuesday of each month and are meant to help families in need of clothes, household items, furniture, and other items. Volunteers are welcome to help for the whole event duration or sign up for a shift. Shifts and volunteer roles are listed below:


  • Mover shift [8:30am-12:30pm or 1pm-4:30pm] - Movers can sign up for the morning shift or the afternoon shift. Movers will help pick up any donated furniture & deliver furniture. Movers will assist the FIRM staff(s). 


  • Morning shift [9am-12:30pm] - Setup volunteers will bring out tables and organize the items for display. While items are taken, volunteers will restock tables.


  • Afternoon shift [1pm-4pm] - Breakdown volunteers will continue to help monitor the tables. During the end of the event, volunteers will organize and pack items.
