New Neighbors Volunteer Program - Grocery Shopping and Delivery
Go grocery shopping for a family that is arriving soon or has recently arrived.
Steps:
- Confirm with Isabella at (559) 703-1979 or at isabella@firminc.org
- Report to FIRM office, 1940 N. Fresno St. Fresno, CA 93703 between 8:30AM-4:30PM (office is closed for lunch between 12:30PM-1PM)
- Tell front desk that you are a volunteer here to pick up a gift card to shop for a family that is arriving soon!
- The front desk will hand either create a Volunteer Onboarding packet for you to sign or give you your existing one to log your start time.
- The front desk with give you a shopping list based on the arriving families demographics with a list of stores to shop from and a gift card
- Shop for the items on the list at the listed grocery store
- OBTAIN a receipt for items. All items MUST have a receipt!
- Return to FIRM with groceries where they will be stored in our refrigerator.
