Exciting News: New Twice Monthly Volunteer Orientations Available!

Are interested in supporting newly arrived families in the United States? Do you want to get involved with a meaningful organization that’s dedicated to welcoming refugees? We have fantastic news for you! FIRM is excited to announce our new twice monthly volunteer orientation and training sessions!

Our mission is to provide essential services and support to refugees and immigrants, helping them thrive in our community. By joining our team, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to improving the lives of all refugees in Fresno.

New volunteer orientation schedule:

To better accommodate your busy schedules and to ensure that you have the opportunity to get involved, we are now offering orientation sessions twice a month. Here are the details:

• IN PERSON - Monthly, on the First Tuesday of the month

• VIRTUAL: Monthly, on the Third Thursday of the month

What to expect:

Our orientation and training sessions are designed to provide you with all the information and skills you need to get started as a volunteer. Here’s what you’ll experience:

• Introduction to FIRM: Learn about our history, mission, and the various programs and services we offer to refugees.

• Volunteer Opportunities: Discover the different ways you can contribute, from tutoring and mentoring to resource distribution and event support.

• Training and Skills Development: Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support our projects and clients.

• Q&A Session: Have your questions answered by experienced staff and current volunteers.

With these new flexible time slots, it’s easier than ever to fit volunteer training into your schedule. Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or looking to expand your involvement, our updated orientation sessions are designed to help you start making a difference right away.
