Great volunteers are at the heart of Runspire — and we’re looking for someone brilliant with people to help our growing team feel welcomed, supported, valued and part of something special.
As our Volunteer Manager, you’ll work alongside the Runspire team to help recruit, welcome, coordinate and support our volunteers. From someone’s first enquiry to watching them grow in confidence and take on new opportunities, you’ll help make their Runspire journey a brilliant one.
What You’ll Do 🙌
- 💙 Welcome new volunteers and help them find the role that’s right for them.
- 🤝 Support our volunteer team, keeping in touch and making sure people feel valued.
- 🎓 Help coordinate onboarding and training, so volunteers feel confident and ready.
- 📅 Help organise volunteers across our sessions, activities and events.
- 🌟 Celebrate our amazing people and recognise the difference they make.
- 💡 Help us grow a fun, supportive and inclusive volunteering community.
Training & Support 🎓
You won’t be doing it alone!
You’ll receive Runspire onboarding training and ongoing support from our team. We’ll help you get comfortable with our systems, including Better Impact, and understand how volunteering works across Runspire.
You’ll Be Great at This If…
You’re friendly, organised, approachable and great with people, with experience of managing, supporting or coordinating people or volunteers.
You’ll enjoy helping others develop and making sure people feel listened to, supported and valued. You’ll also be comfortable using IT systems, communicating with different people and keeping things organised.
Experience specifically within volunteer management is great, but transferable people-management experience is equally welcome.
Some travel between Runspire locations will be needed, so being able to drive and travel between sessions is important.
