LSS-SW resettles about 1,000 refugees fleeing from war-torn countries. Volunteers help with a range of services that are vital in helping refugees get settled, and supporting our Refugee Focus staff to meet our mission. This volunteer role is designed to meet the challenge of having adequately vetted individuals available to meet our immediate volunteer needs on short notice. The purpose of the role is to create a pool of volunteers who have completed the volunteer onboarding process, and who are able to step into needed roles as they arise.
On-call volunteers may perform a variety of tasks and duties based on the needs and circumstances of Refugee Services. All tasks and duties assigned will come with the training and orientation that is needed and relevant for the volunteer to perform the task.
