Enrichment Activities: Challenge Reading
Purpose: To provide an advanced math group to a grade level group of students
Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend District Training for facilitators of Math Plus Programs

Prepare lessons for math group based on the Math Plus curriculum
-
Facilities the group in advanced math lessons and discussion of the
-
Perform necessary task

Always treat all situations with confidentiality
Time Commitment:
Fixed Hours: One hour one time a week for six to eight weeks
Flexible Hours: Additional hour a week for prep work for the group
Expected Number of Volunteer Hours: About 16- 20 hours for two months
Skills Required:

Knowledge of math material

Willing to work independently from staff (self-directed)

Works well with staff and students

Ability to relate well to children

Has a strong commitment to be positive role model

VSC Responsibilities:

Volunteers must have a completed Volunteer Application and CHRH on file

Assist teacher/staff to find appropriate volunteer to manage a group independently
