Enrichment Activities: Skillbuilders - Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd
Purpose: Volunteers, throughout the school year, will support students in the classroom. Activities may include tracing the alphabet chart, rote counting, writing names, one-on-one correspondence, etc. Training required and provided at the start of the school year.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend and complete the Skill Builder Training through the district.

Be able to complete the training, understand the method, and implement what the program is with students

Work off list provided by teachers with student names on it for who and what to work with and on.

Write comments regarding any concerns in communication folder
Time Commitment:
Flexible Time: once or more weekly schedule
Flexible Time: Additional hours can arranged
Expected Number of Volunteer Hours: 1-2 hours once a week throughout the school year

VSC Responsibilities:

Find volunteers interested in being trained or those that are already trained

Arrange time and day with Kindergarten teachers and volunteers

All volunteers have a completed Volunteer Application and CRHR on file
-
Make sure that volunteers have been through the district training
