Group Support Volunteer - Stroke Group Westminster

Role Description

Help create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients attending the Stroke Conversations Groups in Westminster. You'll chat to service users and encourage them to engage in conversation as part of a group or on a 1 to 1 basis.

Location : Penfold Hub, 60 Penfold Street NW8 8PJ

Availability : Friday fortnightly 10am-12.30pm

Help the Stroke Rehabilitation service

  •  Create a friendly, welcoming, and helpful environment at the regular conversation groups.

  • Offer directional advice and practical assistance to patients and visitors.

  • Encourage patients to participate and get the most out of the classes by spending time talking with them.

  • Motivate patients during the class to participate.

  • Help patients engage with the social aspect of the classes to combat loneliness.
