Gardening Volunteer - Watford

Role Description

We are fortunate to have lovely garden grounds at Langley House. We’re looking for a volunteer to help with the maintenance and upkeep of the space.

The gardens are a tranquil sanctuary for parents and families to sit and reflect or relax. We would like to ensure it stays tidy and inviting so more patients and families take advantage of the space, improving their wellbeing.

Location: Langley House, 698 St Albans Rd, Watford WD25 9FG 

Availability: Monday - Friday between 10am and 2pm, 4 hours per week

Make a Difference in Patients' Lives

  • Help maintain the gardens as a calm and green space

  • Ensure the area is welcoming to patients and visitors 

  • Work with staff and patients to make the area suitable for their needs

  • Enhance your ability to provide empathetic support

Desirable Qualities

  • Gardening experience, either personally or professionally

  • Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental

  • Respectful of all individuals

  • Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

  • DBS required

  • Minimum 6 month commitment
