Objective: To assist the Dog Care Team in their daily role of washing food bowls, water bowls, and toys. To help maintain the cleanliness of the Canine Kitchen. To assist with keeping the enrichment freezer full.
Each day, the staff members of the Dog Care Team are tasked with cleaning all food bowls, water bowls, and toys for every dog in their assigned room. This task can slow down operations on the dog team as the staff is also tasked with inside and outside cleaning, walking high level dogs, and the processes required to get dogs ready for adoption. A volunteer helping to fill this role would give each member of the dog team an estimated extra hour each day to drive those processes.
Objective: To assist the Cat Care Team in their daily role of washing food bowls, water bowls, and toys. To help maintain the cleanliness of the Cat Kitchen. To assist with keeping the supplies for kennel set-up ready.
Each day, the staff members of the Cat Care Team are tasked with cleaning all food bowls, water bowls, toys, and litter boxes for each cat in their assigned room. A volunteer helping to fill this role would give each member of the cat team an estimated extra hour each day to drive those processes.

Objective: To assist the Animal Care Team with maintenance of the laundry room. To assist with washing, drying, and folding of laundry. To assist with the distribution of clean blankets and towels to each animal housing room in the shelter. To maintain an current list of supplies and quantities.
The Animal Care Team is tasked with maintaining the laundry room and keeping it clear of dirty laundry. The laundry room is also a storage space for cleaning supplies. The staff members each spend at least an hour a day maintaining the cleanliness of the laundry room. A volunteer to assist in this area would free up staff to drive the processes required for getting animals ready for adoption.
Objective: To help increase the adoptability of a pet with cute photographs and videos as well as a well written, accurate biography of that animal that entices people to come to the shelter to meet the animal.
The number one reason people list why they adopted their pet is that they saw a cute photo or video online and they came in to meet them. Photographs and accurate biographies are the way to make the greatest impact on the outcome of our animals.
Our foster carers provide much-needed temporary homes for animals who require extra love and support before becoming available for adoption.
