Job Summary

The role includes overseeing the marketing and promotions of the association. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and initiating a cohesive marketing plan that will be utilized throughout the present year to support and promote CCA initiatives, activities, and events. The Vice President of Marketing should be comfortable using major social media channels, speaking in public, and communicating with external contacts in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • The main point of contact for all marketing inquiries
  • Design original advertisement materials for CCA and events as well as distributing, printing, and posting promotional material
  • Draft a strategic marketing plan focused on boosting member recruitment, high event turnout, CCA membership, and success at CCA events and CBPS events
  • Conduct and lead market research
  • Oversee web presence, website, and social media including editing photos and videos for channels
  • Develop a digital marketing plan in collaboration with the team that stays consistent with CCA’s vision and mission
  • Plan, create and execute a cohesive social media strategy across all online platforms
  • Manage online communities such as comments, shares, messages, etc.
  • Ability to manage incoming emails/messages and respond promptly, and manage and prioritize multiple platforms at once
  • Weekly posting to all social media accounts that promote CCA initiatives and an educational outlet for students Qualifications
  • Current Capilano University student
  • Ability to work with all major Social Media Channels
  • Organized and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Able to commit 1-6 hours/week for both Fall and Spring semesters
  • Experience with photo/video editing is preferred
