Special Events
Special Events are a fun way to volunteer with Kitchen Angels. We have fundraisers and special projects that need staffing throughout the year.
Angels Dine Out: Each year, on the last Thursday in April, local restaurants agree to donate 25% of their revenue that day to Kitchen Angels. There are many ways to help:
- Ambassadors act as hosts at one of the participating restaurants
- Table captains agree to gather a group to dine out that night
- Marketing volunteers help us distribute supplies to the restaurants ahead of the event
- Supply Prep volunteers prepare the supply boxes ahead of the event, to make sure our ambassadors are fully equipped for their tasks
Spirit of Giving: Kitchen Angels purchases small gifts for our clients to remind them that we care. Starting in November, volunteer groups come in and individually wrap each item, which then go into a gift box.
