Health & Wellness - UMN Movement Disorder Lab: Parkinson Disease Control Subjects
University of Minnesota Movement Disorder Lab
Program Overview:
We have many studies running in our lab, and we are in need of control participants to age/sex match with our participants with Parkinson’s Disease. Most studies consist of movement tasks (walking, turning, etc.). https://movementdisorderslab.umn.edu/
Volunteer Activities:
- Studies consist of 1-4 visits, anywhere from 3-6 hours a visit. Compensation given after completing study visit, free parking available on site, lunch available during all day visits.
Training Date(s), Time, Location:
- Tasks are at our lab location at 717 Delaware on the University of Minnesota campus.
- Dates are available when it's best for participants and when the lab is available M-F 8am-5pm.
Volunteer eligibility / Training requirements:
- Age group: 45-80
- NO family history of Parkinson’s Disease.
- Able to walk 50 meters without walker or cane
- No hip or knee replacements. No history of seizures/fainting
