EVERY MEAL EMERGENCY FOOD GAP PROGRAM

 

Program Overview:

  • Every Meal is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting child hunger through community and school partnerships.
  • The organization focuses on filling food gaps that K–12 students and their families face on weekends, extended breaks, and during the summer when school meal programs are unavailable.

Volunteer Activities:

      Volunteers will assist with food delivery from Every Meal warehouse to schools with urgent food needs.

      Volunteers will:

      Arrive at Every Meal warehouse at the start of their shift

      Receive an assigned delivery location

      Load their personal vehicle with boxes of packaged food

      Deliver food to a designated school storage location

      Use rolling carts (provided) to transport boxes into the school

      No return trip to the warehouse is required after delivery

Location / Time Commitment:

Location: Every Meal Warehouse, 2723 Patton Road Roseville, MN 55113

  • Shift Schedule:
    • Shifts available Monday–Friday
    • Shift time: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
    • Volunteers must register in advance through the Volunteer Registration System.

Volunteer Eligibility & Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Personal vehicle for deliveries
  • Ability to follow delivery instructions independently

Physical Expectations:

  • Lift and carry approximately 8–20 boxes
  • Boxes weigh approximately 25–30 lbs each

What to Wear:

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate work clothing
  • Closed-toe shoes recommended

Parking / Transportation:

  • Free parking available at the warehouse and delivery schools

Safety Information:

      This is a low-risk volunteer activity

      Volunteers are encouraged to use proper lifting techniques and take breaks as needed
