Canine Care
Canine Support volunteers help care for and enrich the lives of our shelter dogs while supporting daily kennel operations.
Responsibilities may include:
• Cleaning dog kennels and maintaining sanitary spaces
• Completing laundry and dishwashing tasks
• Assisting with dog walks and meet-and-greets
• Following behavior and handling plans for individual dogs
• Preparing enrichment items and supporting daily care routines
• Monitoring dog behavior and reporting concerns to staff
Because many of our dogs are medium to large breeds, volunteers should feel comfortable handling larger dogs and following safety protocols. Training and support are provided.
