Heritage Park volunteers help bring history to life and create welcoming, memorable experiences for
thousands of guests throughout the year.
We are currently welcoming volunteers to support Heritage Park’s special events. You can become part
of our ongoing volunteer community or help with a single event.

What Do Special Events Volunteers Do?
Special Events Volunteers help create safe, organized and enjoyable experiences for our guests.
Assignments vary by event and may include:
- Welcoming guests
- Providing directions and event information
- Supporting activities and family programming
- Monitoring entrances, doors or guest lines
- Assisting with event set-up or tear-down
Each opportunity includes information about the responsibilities, schedule, location, physical
requirements and any training needed.

Interested in a Costumed Volunteer Role? Costumed volunteers help bring Heritage Park’s stories to life, welcome guests and create meaningful connections with the history of the Park. Costumed opportunities are available across several programs, including Interpretation, Ambassadors, Tour Guides and Junior Day Camp Leaders. Other specialized opportunities may also become available based on program needs. Recruitment for 2026 costumed roles is now closed. Applications for the 2027 volunteer season will open in January 2027. Would you like to get involved sooner? What Happens After You Apply?
Ongoing Heritage Park Volunteers
After submitting your application, the Volunteer Engagement team will contact you with information about
onboarding and next steps. Depending on the opportunity, this may include an interview, orientation,
screening or training.
Once you have completed the required onboarding, you will be able to view and sign up for eligible
opportunities through MyImpact.
One-Time Event Volunteers
After expressing interest in a one-time opportunity, you will receive information about the event, available
assignments and any steps required before your shift.
